I oversee this award-winning nonprofit literary publishing house. Since 1986 the press has published over 172 titles, and is currently expanding academic/library outreach, digital/ebook market, and conducting domestic and foreign rights sales.

Consulting Work
1997 - 2006

I first worked for Lexus-Nexus Publishing (Publishing Operations Specialist, 1997 – 1998), and then North Atlantic Books (Project Editor, 1998 – 1999). I then worked on various projects with positions including: literary-market publicist for Catherine Ryan Hyde’s novel "Pay It Forward" (with Simon & Schuster); content editor for the National Organization for Women in the Bay Area; researcher with Presidio Labs, a technology startup that engineered a sophisticated data visualization engine; and as remote editor for Mercury House. From 2001 to 2003 I traveled extensively and produced Dale Pendell’s "Pharmako" trilogy. I then served (2003 – 2005) as VP in a family-owned property investment company that purchased and restored distressed properties.



Executive background in budgeting and forecasting, contracts and permissions, project acquisition and development, nonprofit management, and investor/board reporting.

Management experience in client relations, agile project management, and selection and training of staff and executive team.

Creative background in developmental editing, art direction, typesetting, and layout for offset and digital publishing.

Technical expertise in CS6 (InDesign/Photoshop), HTML/CSS, Squarespace, SEO/analytics, Quickbooks, Excel, Filemaker, Asana, Trello, Slack, Salesforce, and with current social media and email marketing platforms.
